According to reports, a head police constable was killed in firing by miscreants at Bannu Iqbal Shaheed Police Lines in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Monday.
After two hours, 5 miscreants armed with grenades and sophisticated weapons in a motorcycle rickshaw started throwing grenades and firing from the main gate.
After that, when the policemen on duty fired back at them, they entered the guest house of Police Lines. When they started firing from there, more policemen came and started retaliating on them. The exchange of fire continued for 6 hours. At this time, 4 policemen were killed.
Bannu District Police Officer Ziauddin Ahmed, who was present at the Police Lines, said that due to the brave resistance of the slain policemen, the Police Lines were spared from further casualties.
