Three members of the same family died due to electrocution in the housing area of ​​Kushtia city.

Abdus Salam, his wife and a baby daughter died on the spot after being accidentally electrocuted at their home in Housing Kadamtala area around 6 pm on Wednesday (October 23).

In this incident, their other child named Siam (14) was seriously injured. He was rescued and admitted to Kushtia General Hospital.

Neighbor Imroz Reema said that it started raining in Kushtia in the afternoon. Rainwater accumulates in the house. Meanwhile, Abdus Salam went to turn off the main switch of electricity inside the room. At that time, his wife Rupa came forward to save him when he was electrocuted. When he was also electrocuted, his daughter Shaba and son Siam died. Salam, Rupa and Siam were electrocuted. Later, the locals rescued them and took them to Kushtia General Hospital, where the doctor on duty declared them dead.

Kushtia Model Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mahfuzur Rahman confirmed the truth of the incident.
