Senior Secretary of Health Services Department MA Akmal Hossain Azad said that a large part of the total population of the country is the youth. There are young men and young women. The role of this society is essential in building the country and protecting its well-being. If nearly 53 million young men and women of this country work together, then we should think where we will reach.

He said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the ‘public awareness program on the role of youth in anti-drug and anti-terrorism activities and exchange of views with youth entrepreneurs’ organized by the Mymensingh office of the Youth Development Department in the conference room of Mymensingh Zilla Parishad on Saturday (November 9). Officers of Mymensingh Youth Development Directorate along with officials of other departments, youth entrepreneurs, youth trainees participated in the exchange meeting.

The chief guest said that young women are going through the most difficult time among the youth society in our country. From child marriage to child mothering at a young age, to being subjected to violence inside and outside the home, it happens to young women very often. Institutionalized education is no exception, as is victimization in the workplace. We have to come out of this. Young women should be trained. Otherwise, it is not possible to move the country forward. Youth must come forward to prevent torture. Journalists and teachers should not be lagging in cooperation in this work.

Rezaul Maqchud Zahedi said, the goal that the youth is taking Bangladesh forward will face the challenges of the future. The youth must be ready to adapt to the new world through the use of modern technology. The role of youth power will make the country more prosperous. We will bring the young society to the main power of the mainstream. We prioritize youth participation and ideas. In 64 districts, various initiatives have been taken to clean 64 canals. Youth brothers and sisters are playing a direct role in these initiatives. We still have a lot of social awareness work to do. About 9 lakh youths and young women will be trained out of those who have not received any training before. We will not stop here, we will bring new programs. A wave of skills will be created among the youth. I hope they will take today’s Bangladesh forward.

In the context of the anti-discrimination movement, the youth secretary said that about 30,000 youths were injured in this movement. About 700 people have lost their eyesight. The government will provide maximum support for them. This country will celebrate the festival of youth. The country will move forward by creating employment opportunities for 65% of the population. The Bangladesh of youth’s dreams will be developed.
