Central Bank printed 22 and a half thousand crore taka

The Governor said that the central bank will print 22 thousand 500 crore rupees to provide liquidity support to 6 banks. Ahsan H. Mansoor.

He said this while talking to journalists on contemporary issues of the country’s financial sector at the head office of Bangladesh Bank in Motijheel on Thursday (November 28).

He also said that temporarily withdrawing from the decision to print money, 22 thousand 500 crores were given to 6 weak banks by printing money.

He also said that Bangladesh Bank will stand by them if there is a liquidity crisis in any bank.

Calling on the customers to be calm, he said, “Customers will get many changes in the bank from Sunday (December 1).”

Earlier, the governor held a meeting with 17 commercial banks on November 11. In the meeting, he said that strong banks should provide more financial support to banks weakened by financial irregularities.
