Cyclone Fengal is coming

The deep depression over the Bay of Bengal is likely to develop into a cyclonic storm in the afternoon, the Meteorological Department said. If it takes the form of a cyclone, its name will be Fengal. Although its impact is not likely to fall in that way in Bangladesh.

However, there may be light rain in the coastal areas. For this reason, the country’s seaports have been asked to display remote warning signal number 1.

On Thursday (November 28) afternoon, the Meteorological Office said, it is likely to turn into a cyclone by this afternoon. It will turn into a cyclone and move towards Sri Lanka.

According to the seaport warning, the deep depression over Southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining areas is moving slightly north-northwestward and staying in the same area. It was 1825 km southwest of Chittagong sea port, 1770 km southwest of Cox’s Bazar sea port, 1715 km southwest of Mongla sea port and 1710 km southwest of Payra sea port this morning. It may move further north-northwestwards and intensify.

According to the agency, the maximum sustained wind speed is 50 km/h within 48 km of the deep depression, increasing to 60 km/h in the form of gusts or gusts. Oceans are rough in the vicinity of deep depressions.

Chittagong, Cox’s Bazar, Mongla and Payra Samudra have been asked to display remote warning signal number 1. Along with this, all the fishing boats and trawlers stationed in North Bay of Bengal and deep sea have been asked to move carefully near the coast till further instructions.
